Recently Marco Marraccini and LuLu Saleh discussed the thoughtful modernization of 3300 Sunset at Sunset Row with Brynn Shaffer, Staff Reporter for the LABJ. The collaboration between Abramson Architects and RYDA has resulted in a 19,200 square-foot mixed-use development that reimagines the property’s obsolete auto-bays into large art-deco inspired storefronts for trend-setting retail and restaurant brands. The article also discusses RYDA’s strategy of repurposing underutilized properties, and more specifically their passion for “upcycling buildings” such as Third & Traction in DTLA and 3300 Sunset Row in Silver Lake.
