Jiaxin Du

Project Designer II
“The unpredictable play of practical and aesthetic factors contains limitless possibilities.”

Philosophy

Having started his professional career working on large commercial mixed-use projects at RTKL, Jiaxin equally appreciates the more delicate details of working on a residential scale. In both cases, he finds the most attractive part of the design process to be the initial element of uncertainty. For him, the unpredictable play of practical and aesthetic factors contains limitless possibilities. Jiaxin approaches design from two perspectives, which he calls “god’s perspective” and “user perspective”, allowing him to think integrally and systematically without losing sight of the future human-scale experience of his work.
