Design Vibes Highlights Coastal California Residence’s Enduring Design

Design Vibes features the recent transformation of the Coastal California Residence, originally designed by the firm in 2011. More than a decade later, partner David Pascu was brought back to adapt the home for new owners, introducing a third bedroom, added balconies, and improved circulation within the narrow 10-foot-wide footprint. As writer Nigel F. Maynard notes, the project “exemplifies how well-considered design can stand the test of time and adapt to new owners with few minor adjustments.” Located near Abbot Kinney, the home retains its indoor-outdoor flow while incorporating thoughtful updates for privacy and livability. Local furnishings and sustainable materials reinforce its Venice roots and lasting design character.
