On Thursday, October 26, the AIA Los Angeles kicked off their Fall Architecture Tour Fest. Their highly curated design showcases offer exclusive access and exciting opportunities to view unique places across the city. This year’s Tour Fest included an inside look at Synapse in Culver City, led by Bjorn Schrader, LEED AP. Attendees learned about the design, fabrication, and installation of the building’s namesake angular facade. Other topics of interest included daylight utilization, carbon reduction efforts, and the innovative 3-level automated parking management system capable of swiftly retrieving cars in as little as 65 seconds.
