Harboring Comfort
Located on the 6th floor of Cedars-Sinai’s Marina Del Ray medical tower, the HR and Finance teams’ shared office was designed as a comfortable respite in an industry that normally requires tough, durable materials to endure heavy sterilization and medical treatment. Abramson Architects created a luxury retreat for Cedars’s office employees, incorporating comfortable furniture and elegant fixtures packaged together in a design inspired by the tower’s calming oceanfront view.
An original design intermingled HR and finance offices, but when the client asked for the two departments to be separated, our team adeptly made changes to the layout without sacrificing any key design elements. A shared conference room and breakroom split the floor, allowing for interdepartmental coworkers to socialize while keeping confidential materials separate.
Informed by the local Marina harbor, our team created custom wave graphics for the privacy film wrapped throughout the suite. End-to-end light fixtures and a slatted wood wall finish in the HR lobby evoke boardwalk planks with shades of blue throughout bringing in colors of the Pacific.
